Travel diary: Malolo at Macmasters :: Connecting with loved ones on the NSW Central Coast

March 2, 2019 by Jenny

“Happy New Year! Did you go away?” a work colleague asked me. “Yes I did. I was up on the Central Coast, on Macmasters Beach”, I replied. “Oh yes, Macmasters Beach, I’ve been there a few times … it’s a really nice remote part of the Central Coast, away from all the crowds”. During the…

See.Taste.Do on the NSW Central Coast

October 1, 2018 by Jenny

There may be no harbour bridge or opera house but NSW Central Coast has its own maestro. The Central Coast has changed a lot over the years. My last memory of visiting the Central Coast was many, many years ago where I attended a work conference at the Crowne Plaza Terrigal. The organisers then probably…

Billabong Retreat Sydney :: Where silence is a rare treat

September 23, 2018 by Jenny

Say the words ‘yoga retreat’ and I think of getting on a plane to blissful sanctuaries high up in the mountains in India, the lush green jungle of Bali or on secluded beaches in Thailand. I could do that, or I could experience bliss by making an hour car trip from Sydney CBD to out…

Travel Diary :: Nashdale Lane Luxury Glamping Tents in Orange, NSW

May 7, 2018 by Jenny

I must admit, I’ve never ‘roughed it’ and been camping or pitched a tent. It’s just something my family never did when I was younger. My perception of camping has only been influenced by what I have seen on television: falling asleep under the stars, leaking tents, campfire pits, creatures in tents, sleeping on bumpy…

Forget buying stuff that adds to clutter to your home. Book a staycation close to home and experience luxury for your birthday instead. Yes, as a Sydneysider I’ve seen our Harbour Bridge and Opera House many times before but have you ever just woken up to the sight of the Sydney trifecta of Sydney…

Mayfield Gardern and Central West, NSW :: Things to see, taste and do

April 26, 2017 by Jenny

When the NSW Tourism Minister Adam Marshall said to me a couple of weeks ago at the Mercedes Benz Australia Fashion Week 2017 launch party that regional NSW has a lot to offer and there is so much to see, I believe him. Too often we think of going on holidays as hopping on a…

I’ll order a salad, please … MD Provodores and Sydney Markets

January 18, 2017 by Jenny

“I rather my customers complain about price than quality”, Mouhamad of MD Provodores tells me as we walked along A shed in Sydney Markets at 7am on a Wednesday morning. “Jenny, have you seen one of these before?” as we stopped at one of the agents in the sheds who sold a variety of tomatoes….

Hello! I am Jenny, creator of my blog, See.Taste.Do which is simply a curation of things I love to see, taste and do. I write personal stories of my experiences mainly in Sydney, Australia but also beyond when I travel. I am a food photographer for restaurants and also love creating, styling and photographing recipes of good food that are easy to make and nourish your body and mind. I have a fondness for fresh produce, things that grow in farms, markets, restaurants and cafes, dance classes, musical theatre and getaways in luxurious hotels and resorts.
