Recipe: Apricot Crumb Pie using Aussie Apricot’s award winning apricot jam

June 30, 2019 by Jenny

Once you have the recipe for crumb pie you can virtually put anything in the middle and make a fruit crumb pie or jam crumb pie. I got this one from anitalianinmykitchen.com and it’s a good recipe that I’ve used a couple of times now. What I like about crumbed pie is that it’s easy…

Future of Fresh Produce: grow local, think global

April 12, 2019 by Jenny

I grew up in the 80s during a time where one of the fruit and vegetable markets was in Haymarket. I use to tag along with my mother to the markets on a Saturday to help her carry bags of apples and oranges back home. Here I remember the sellers at the markets sold produce…

Banana cake recipe :: a healthier version

August 26, 2018 by Jenny

I’ve been inspired after a trip by the billabong, the Billabong Retreat to be precise, out in the bush an hour out northwest from Sydney CBD where I experienced a profound sense of serenity and quietness and on diet of vegetarian food for 3 days. April 10, 2018 by Jenny

“Good morning, Jen!” Mouhamad greets me warmly at 6.30am as I approached his warehouse at Sydney Markets. It was drizzly but that didn’t get in the way of the buzz and energy I felt at the markets, with his staff, forklifts and trucks constantly on the move. “Good morning, Mouhamad! Jimena and Juan should be…

Top Ryde City :: Your one-stop-shop for fresh produce

April 13, 2017 by Jenny

Despite the rise of home delivery and online shopping, I hope grocery shopping doesn’t become a forgotten pastime. Online shopping can’t replace buying fresh produce from a store, nor does it give you a holistic overview of what produce is in season. I prefer to cook my own dinners from time to time, instead of…

Hello! I am Jenny, creator of my blog, See.Taste.Do which is simply a curation of things I love to see, taste and do. I write personal stories of my experiences mainly in Sydney, Australia but also beyond when I travel. I am a food photographer for restaurants and also love creating, styling and photographing recipes of good food that are easy to make and nourish your body and mind. I have a fondness for fresh produce, things that grow in farms, markets, restaurants and cafes, dance classes, musical theatre and getaways in luxurious hotels and resorts.
