There is no country that produces better steak than Australia and if you want a good steak in Sydney, then Chophouse on Bligh Street is where to go. Consistently, I’ve had good steaks there ever since I have dined there and credit to Head Chef Scott Kim who has been there for as long as I can remember. I first met Scott Kim in 2014 at Chophouse when I first started my blog and did an interview him here on the Secrets to the Perfect Steak.
Chophouse Sydney is now offering a special $69 4-course menu and you better be hungry and a meat lover before you go. The servings are generous, high quality and great value. That said, if your dining partner is vegetarian then this menu caters for them as well (it’s just that I didn’t chose vegetarian dishes at one the best steak restaurants in Sydney!). So the course choices are:
- Choice of snack: Either marinated olives or sticky wagyu beef nuggets (seriously who orders olives with that choice?)
2. Choice of entrée: Salt and Pepper Calamari with chilli, shallot and lime aioli; Ceasar Salad with cos lettuce, iceberg, Parmesan, crouton, soft boiled egg; and the Charcuterie Board with the Chophouse cured meats. I love my salami meats and love Charcuterie Boards.
3. Choice of mains: A beautifully tender, Rib on the Bone 350g from Collinson, Vic; Snapper fillet with Asian greens, ginger and shallots; Stuffed eggplant with Israeli couscous, pomegranate and harissa.
4. Sides to share: Steak cut chips or chop leaf salad
5. Dessert to share: Chophouse Chocolate Block
A good steak is an institution and Chophouse is the institution for a good steak. The $69 4-course menu is available this summer until 29 February 2020
